Dr. James Miller

Dr. Miller is an award-winning educator, researcher, and scholar. He has published articles in leading peer-reviewed journals on relationships. He has also written one textbook and produces the popular blog, Relationships & Psychology. Dr. Miller's research topics include behavioral health, relationship cultivation and maintenance, and transforming communication through technology. He serves as director of the social psychology graduate program at Michigan State University.

Dr. Miller is currently conducting studies to shed light on the power and psychological influence of computer-mediated communication. The first study investigates how computer-mediated communication relates to relationships, the strength of attachment, and personality. The second study examines computer-mediated communication and considers how it is similar/different relative to face-to-face communication in terms of relationship development.
